Invitation letter


When the Rector of the University of Novi Sad visited Prince of Songkla University in 2004, it is agreed to organize a Joint Conference on BioScience every 2 years. The host would alternate between Prince of Songkla University and the University of Novi Sad.
This year the University of Novi Sad, together with the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops and the Scientific Institute of Veterinary Medicine are jointly hosting „ The Forth Joint UNS – PSU International Conference on BioScience: Biotechnology and Biodiversity“. The topic of this conference covers research related to food, agriculture and environment. It will be held on Jun 18-20, 2012, in Novi Sad, Serbia.

Registration

Registration form and Abstract should be submitted in electronic form as attached files to the e-mail address: office@semenarska.rs not later then November 15, 2011. The subject of the e-mail must include the words "UNS-PSU Conference".
Abstract should be written in English in MS Word, font Times New Roman, size 12 points. Use single spacing with justified alignment. Abstract should contain the aim of the paper, essential research results and a brief conclusion, not more than 250 words. Keywords should be written below the Abstract, not more than five words, separated by commas. Title should be brief and precise, written in lowercase and bolded, size 14 points. Full name and sername of autors should be written. If all authors are not from the same institution, this should be marked by superscripts, e- mail should be added to the full address only for the contact person.

The full manuscripte will be published the Thematic Proceeding. In second annoucement you will find instruction for manuscript preparation, as well as information about fees, venue and accomodation.

The maximum poster size allowed is 90 cm x 120 cm. Speakers should hand in their Power Point Presentations (on CD, or USB memory device) to the organizers as early as possible after their arrival to the Conference venue. Presentations are allocated 15 minutes, which includes time for question and answers at the and of the talk.

Papers

The full papers should be submitted in electronic form as attached file to the e-mail address: office@semenarska.rs. The papers submission deadline is 15.09.2012.

Please note that only the abstracts/full papers, whose authors or presenters have paid at least one registration fee, will be published in the Book of Abstracts /Proceedings. The Book of Abstracts will be published before the Conference and the Proceedings will be published after the Conference.

Paper should be written in English in MS Word, font Times New Roman, size 12 points. Use single spacing with justified alignment. Length of menuscript, including text, tables, graphs, figures, should not exceed 6 pages for invited speakers and 4 pages for other participants, A-4 format.
Paper should contain Title, list of authors, authors’ addresses, Abstract, Key words, Introduction, Material and Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusions, and References. Title should be brief and precise, written in lowercase and bolded, size 14 points. Subtitels should be written in bold italic letters, font size 12 points. Full name and sername of autors should be written. If all authors are not from the same institution, this should be marked by superscripts, e-mail should be added to the full address only for the contact person.
Abstract should contain the aim of the paper, essential research results and a brief conclusion, not more than 200 words. Key words should be written below the Abstract, not more than five words, separated by commas.
Tables, graphs and photographs (black and white, with high resolution) must be incorporated into text. Numbers and titles should be written above the tables, and below for graphs and photographs. Graphs should be prepared using applications capable of generating high resolution GIF, TIFF, JPEG.
References should be listed at the end of the paper in alphabetical order. Journal names are abbreviated according to Chemical Abstracts.

Radovi sa Konferencije štampaće se u Tematskom zborniku međunarodnog značaja (M14). Da bi se radovi bodovali u pomenutoj kategoriji moraju zadovoljavati uslov da tekst nije kraći od jednog tabaka (16 stranica; 1 stranica = 1800 tekstualnih karaktera). Puno autorstvo za rad u Tematskom zborniku prihvata se ako nema više od dva autora. Ukoliko ima tri i više autora, rad se vrednuje prema pravilima za koautorske radove.
Organizator se obavezuje da će obezbediti recenziju od strane dva kompetentna međunarodna recenzenta, da će u organizaciji međunarodnog skupa, odnosno u naučnom odboru, imati članove iz najmanje 5 zemalja i najmanje 10 učesnika iz inostranstva sa radovima, kako bi se Tematski zbornik vrednovao u odgovarajućoj kategoriji.
Za učesnike koji ne žele da im se rad boduje u kategoriji M14, važi uputstvo za radove dato u Drugom obaveštenju, a radovi će se vrednovati kao Saopštenje sa međunarodnog skupa štampano u celini (M33).
